With all of our recent coronavirus concerns, now is the perfect time to enjoy card, dice and boardgames! These are some of the games we really enjoy playing, most with a time frame of about 30 minutes, allowing replay if you enjoy the game, or allowing you to play another new or favorite game!By the way, all of our vacation rental beach homes have game cabinets with at least half of these games for your enjoyment. Come spend time with us and build memories to last a lifetime!


Boggle:1-8 players, 10 minutes, Age 8+.Timed word game which players have 3 minutes to find as many connected words in a 16-cube letter grid of random letter dice. Fast paced, and a great game for word and pattern recognition.

Candyland:2-4 players, 15-20 minutes, Age 3-5+. Classic children’s boardgame with sequences and matching colors and pictures. A race to find King Kandy, the lost king of Candyland.

Cards: 1-6 players, 10-60 minutes, Age 5+. A deck of cards is so versatile, with so many different games to play, such as Solitaire, Crazy Eights or Gin Rummy.

Clue: 3-6 players, 45 minutes, Age 8+. A classic “who done it” detective game. A deductive reasoning game to figure out the character, location and weapon, all placed in a secret file, in which players move from room to room and get “clues” to solve the mystery.

Chutes and Ladders: 2-6 players, 30 minutes, Age 3+. Players role a dice to advance their token along a 100 square track, with “good deeds” on ladders gaining rapid advancement, and “bad deeds” sliding down chutes to move a player backwards.This first player to reach square 100 is the winner.

Life:2-6 players, 60 minutes, Age 8+. This game mirrors “Life” events. The purpose is to follow a track and finish the game with the most assets.

Scrabble: 2-4 players, 90 minutes, Age 10+. Classic word game, which players use their 7 drawn tiles to make words on the gameboard, and collect points and bonus points. The player with the most points after all the tiles are distributed wins the game.

Sorry: 2-4 players, 30 minutes, Age 6+. Race your 4 pieces around the board to you “home”, in this parcheesi-style game.

Stratego: 2 players, 45 minutes, Age 8+.This is a capture the flag game, advancing on the battlefield board with your army of men and bombs. The “strategy” is to protect your flag, and capture your enemy’s flag.

Trouble: 2-4 players, 45 minutes, Age 4+. Simplified parcheesi, with a “pop-o-matic” dice roller. Move your pieces around the board to “home”.

UNO: 2-10 players, 30 minutes, Age 6+. UNO is a commercial version of Crazy Eights. Players race to empty their hand of cards.

Yahtzee: 2-10 players, 30 minutes, Age 6+. Classic dice game with 5 dice.Roll dice 3 times to match one of 13 categories. Each category scores points, and after 13 rounds are played, player with the highest score wins.


Alhambra: 2-6 players, 45-60 minutes, Age 8+. Players take turns acquiring buildings with walls to build their Alhambra castle. Scoring phases are based on backround colors of the buildings. Highest score at the end of the game wins.

Azul: 2-4 players, 30-60 minutes, Age 8+. Players take turns drafting colored tiles to their player board. Scoring is based on how they have placed their tiles to decorate their board. Player with the most points wins.

Dragonwood: 2-4 players, 20 minutes, Age 8+. Collect sets of adventurer cards to earn dice, which you then roll against your foes. Each foe defeated give you points, and the player with the most points wins.

Five Crowns: 1-7 players, 30 minutes, Age: 8+. A five-suited deck, similar to rummy, but each round the number of cards per hand increases from 3 to 13. 

Kingdomino: 2-4 players, 15-20 minutes, Age 8+. Players race to complete a 5x5 grid of tiles similar to Dominoes, with different terrains that will help them accumulate points. 

Meeple Circus: 2-5 players, 45 minutes, Age 8+. A circus dexterity game where you accumulate points based on different build requirements from a card deck. The player who builds the most amazing piles of people, animals and circus props wins the game!

Sagrada: 1-4 players, 30-45 minutes, Age 14+. Each player builds a beautiful stain glass window by using different colored dice, based on a chosen stain glass grid card.Scoring is based on different patterns of numbers and colors. High score wins.

Skyjo: 2-8 players, 15-45 minutes, Age 8+. Every player gets a grid of 12 random face down cards. You take a card from the discard or draw pile, and replace it with a hidden card. Play ends when one player reveals all of his or her cards. Points are collected based on face value of the cards. LOWEST point value wins. This game is similar to the normal card deck game of GOLF. 

Sushi Go!:2-5 players, 15 minutes, Age 8+. You are eating at a sushi restaurant, and you try and grab the best combination of sushi dishes as they whiz by. A “draft and pass” game.

Ten Days in Asia: 2-4 players, 25 minutes, Age: 10+.Players need to use their cards to create a consecutive journey from place to place throughout Asia, with the addition of trains, ships and airplanes to connect distant locations. First one to finish a route wins. 

Ticket to Ride: 2-5 players, 30-60 minutes, Age 8+. Players collect cards of train cars that they then use to claim railway routes in North America. The longer routes earn more points.Most points at the end of the game wins.

Zooloretto: 2-5 players, 45 minutes, Age 8+.Players use exotic animals to attract as many visitors as they can to their zoo.
